After many days of intense negotiations our union has won a landmark 3-year agreement. It includes THE BIGGEST ONE-YEAR GENERAL SALARY INCREASE IN LA COUNTY HISTORY.

Read below for a summary of our tentative agreement deal:

Salaries

2022:  5.5% pay increase, plus $1,375 bonus

THE BIGGEST ONE-YEAR GENERAL SALARY INCREASE IN LA COUNTY HISTORY.

2023:  3.25% pay increase

THE LARGEST ONE-YEAR GENERAL SALARY INCREASE SINCE 2006.

2024:  3.25% pay increase

THE LARGEST ONE-YEAR GENERAL SALARY INCREASE SINCE 2006.

Additional salary increases, bonuses, and pay differentials for thousands of SEIU 721 members.

Healthcare, Childcare and Elder Care, Privatization Protections, and Other Highlights

  • Additional Options $ (up to $195/month) to offset future medical premium increases.
  • Commitment to expand telework opportunities in all departments with reimbursements to employees for required expenses incurred.
  • Millions of dollars in subsidies ($100 - $375/month) to help SEIU 721 members with childcare and elder care expenses.
  • Additional dollars for life insurance, public transit subsidies, and other benefits.
  • Stronger protections against contracting out and 3-year plan to contract in hundreds of County jobs.

Remember: Some tables are still negotiating individual items for their respective bargaining units. So, we’ll have more to report in the days ahead. We’ll also share more details with everyone about how, when and where we can vote to ratify our new Tentative Agreement.
